Terms of Service
Last updated: April 2025
1. Acceptance
By uploading a document to or purchasing a report from LeaseGuard (leaseguard.us), you agree to these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not use the service. We may update these terms at any time — continued use constitutes acceptance of any changes.
2. What LeaseGuard is
LeaseGuard is an AI-powered document analysis tool that reviews residential lease agreements and identifies potential risks, unusual clauses, and relevant provisions under state landlord-tenant law.
LeaseGuard is not a law firm. The analysis and reports we provide are for informational purposes only and do not constitute legal advice. Nothing in a LeaseGuard report creates an attorney-client relationship. For legal advice specific to your situation, consult a licensed attorney in your state.
3. Eligibility and permitted use
- You must be 18 years or older to use the service.
- You may only upload documents you have the legal right to share — specifically, lease agreements to which you are a party or a prospective party.
- LeaseGuard is designed for US residential leases. Commercial leases, international leases, or other document types may produce incomplete or inaccurate results.
- You may not use LeaseGuard for bulk commercial processing, resale of reports, or any automated access not expressly permitted by us.
4. Payment and refunds
- A full risk report costs $19.00 USD per document, charged at the time of purchase via Stripe.
- A free preview (summary-level findings) is available before payment.
- Because the full report is generated and delivered immediately upon payment, all sales are final. We do not offer refunds after the report has been generated and the access link delivered, except where required by applicable law or in cases of documented technical failure on our end.
- If you experience a technical problem that prevented you from accessing your report, contact support@leaseguard.us within 7 days and we will review your case.
5. Report access
After payment, you will receive a unique secure link by email. This link grants access to your report and is valid indefinitely. Keep it safe — anyone with the link can view the report. We do not currently offer password-protected accounts.
6. Accuracy disclaimer
LeaseGuard uses AI models to analyze lease documents. AI analysis can make mistakes, miss context, or misinterpret ambiguous language. We do not warrant that any report is complete, accurate, or up to date with the latest legal changes in your jurisdiction. Always verify important findings with a qualified attorney before taking action.
7. Intellectual property
LeaseGuard and all associated content, software, and trademarks are owned by or licensed to us. The report we generate for your specific lease is provided to you for your personal, non-commercial use. You may not resell, redistribute, or sublicense reports.
8. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, LeaseGuard and its operators shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the service or reliance on any report, even if advised of the possibility of such damages. Our total liability for any claim arising from use of the service shall not exceed the amount you paid for the report in question.
9. Disclaimer of warranties
The service is provided “as is” and “as available” without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including but not limited to merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement. We do not warrant that the service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free of harmful components.
10. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the United States and the State of Delaware, without regard to conflict-of-law principles. Any disputes shall be resolved in the courts of Delaware, and you consent to personal jurisdiction there.
